This is my design for the next ‘This is’ event. The theme this time is ‘The Start of The Summer’, for me this is when you first hear the ice cream van in the distance. Therefore I created this nostalgic ice cream label for an ice cream van.
The event shall take place on the 24th May at 60 million postcards, Bournemouth.

This is the final version of my mythical sea creature for the Nautical competition I entered for “This is” at 60 million postcards in bournemouth. I found out the other day that it has got through into one of the available 15 places and will be displayed on the 23rd of November.
The most popular piece on the night shall be made into a T-shirt so fingers crossed.
This is the pencil drawing that I shall be using in the ‘This is’ competition being held at 60 million postcards in Bournemouth. The theme is ‘nautical’. I am debating on whether to use colour or not at the moment, and also if to add colour by hand or on Photoshop. I want to use some of the marbled paper I produced the other day as I feel the colour and the patterns would complement the octopus tentacles and over all nautical theme.
There are only 15 spaces in the exhibition. The illustration shall be blown up to A2 size and 5 high quality prints shall be produced.
